About you

You’re an AI innovator with a passion for crafting intelligent, scalable systems that enhance gameplay and learning experiences. With a deep understanding of AI infrastructure, you thrive at the intersection of technology and creativity, turning complex AI models into seamless, player-driven experiences.

You love problem-solving and are excited by the challenge of designing AI-powered frameworks that adapt to players in real time. Whether it’s integrating LLMs, building AI-assisted content tools, or refining game data pipelines, you approach each challenge with curiosity and a drive to push boundaries.

Collaboration is key for you - you enjoy working with developers, designers, and learning experts to create AI solutions that are not just technically sound, but also engaging and meaningful. You’re someone who sees the bigger picture, balancing innovation with practicality to ensure AI enhances gameplay in ways that are scalable, efficient, and, most importantly, fun.

If you’re eager to shape the future of AI in game-based learning and want to be part of a team that’s redefining what’s possible, we’d love to hear from you!

About the role

This role is a unique opportunity to work at the cutting edge of AI, game development, and EdTech, ensuring our AI infrastructure is scalable, efficient, and ready for market. You’ll lead the integration of AI into our game backend architecture, optimising LLMs and AI frameworks to create truly responsive and dynamic player experiences.

As our AI Infrastructure Architect, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of AI-driven gameplay and game-based learning. You’ll be responsible for designing and implementing the AI systems that power adaptive, personalised experiences - from real-time player feedback to AI-assisted content creation.

Beyond technical execution, you’ll collaborate closely with designers, developers, and learning experts to shape AI-powered tools that enhance creativity and engagement. Your work will directly influence how players interact with our games, whether through adaptive sequencing, real-time decision-making, or AI-driven procedural content generation.

If you’re passionate about building intelligent AI systems that redefine learning and entertainment, this is your chance to make a lasting impact in a fast-moving, innovative environment.

What you'll be doing

  • Design and implement an AI system framework for game-based learning.
  • Lead the adoption and redevelopment of the game backend architecture to integrate AI-driven mechanics.
  • Develop AI-assisted authoring tools, making content creation faster and scalable.
  • Build AI-powered gameplay systems, including adaptive sequencing and real-time formative feedback.
  • Work with LLMs and spaced learning theories to personalise player experiences.

What we're looking for

  • Experience in AI system architecture and infrastructure - ideally in gaming, EdTech, interactive or healthcare applications.
  • Strong knowledge of LLMs, AI frameworks, and cloud-based AI services (e.g. OpenAI, Google Cloud AI, AWS).
  • Proficiency in AI model integration, optimisation, and real-time AI decision-making.
  • Understanding of game data pipelines and AI-driven content generation.
  • A problem-solver who thrives in a collaborative, innovative environment.
